I've struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. During my college years, I lost weight and was walking and or jogging 8-9 miles a day in my mid twenties. After marriage and children, I gained weight and unfortunately eventually doubled in size. After a difficult divorce, I struggled withmy weight while juggling single parenting and working full time. With the pressures of life, I put my own health aside and spent years in survival mode. In 2017, my last child was getting ready to graduate and I decided to make major life changes. I left city life behind and moved to a quieter rural area. I did a 30 day sugar fast and wasn't sure what to do next. A dear friend saw my post about cutting out sugar, and told me about the Trim Healthy Mama lifestyle. It's not a diet, but a way to eat healthy without deprivation of sugar and bad carbs. I discovered new foods that I enjoyed and eating desserts that were sugar free. During this time, I became a caregiver for a parent a. I did great for a couple of years, but life happens. In 2023, I had to move my oldest back home to care for her once again and left a stressful social work career behind. Between stress and peri menopause, I spent a couple of years gaining and losing the same 30 to 40 pounds over and over. Finally, in October 2025, I researched and learned about the proper dosing for GLP-1s and started taking health courses. Since, I've dropped 45 pounds and continue my health journey. I've been a full time caregiver for a parent and adult child for 3 years. Now, I'm ready to dive in to help others improve their health and life by offering coaching services.
